I bought a laptop in January 06'. I had to reboot it in March of 07' due to a virus it had got, I think I was hacked. Then this last December my adapter stopped charging it so I called Dell who I financed it from and they sent me new parts that were covered under the warranty.
So I'm up and running again, I just need to get a desk for myself so I can set up my printer to be able to print the assignments given me. I'll be able to keep up with the course much better.
Truly thinking of what technology does for me on a daily basis is more than I can explain. I feel it's a blessing to be from these times. Driving , listening to the stereo whether it be a CD or MP3 player, to come home and drink a chilled glass of juice, to sit down and be able to view all parts of the world and keep up with current events from where I used to live on the TV screen, to be able to get on the net and contact and keep in touch with old friends of mine, or to be able to shop on the computer. Technology is endless.
It has created a fast-paced society. Speaking on the teen-agers today, they've got things quick, and they get want they want faster. It takes a car, a cell-phone, and some cash. The fact you can have the internet, a camera, an MP3 player on your phone; games, pictures... possibilities seem endless.
But then again people take things for granted and forget what we as people are coming from.
I mean thinking to when I was sixteen and not realizing how far advanced in technology our world had become - you know, not considering the history of things or thinking back to generations before like my grandparents and their parents, I wasn't as great full for those things as I am now, now that I recognize the intelligence and dedication.
