I think of people like my mom, whose not far from sixty; that didn't grow up with technology, barely; who doesn't thrust for newer electronics and gadget's; who could care less to have up-to-date stereos, or not that she wouldn't mind to have them but that she's just so behind in the game that she could sit and watch old video tapes over and over, and be satisfied.
It kills me sometimes because it doesn't make a difference to her what's out there , she knows what she knows and she's fine with using just that.
I was born the year CD's came out. I grew up listening and buying cassette tapes. My first CD was K7 that my sister bought for me for I think my 9th birthday and I still have it. It don't work but...I seem to want thing's faster. Too fast sometimes, that I get frustrated when thing's are moving slow and when I can't keep. I have to stop and remember, that, I'm accustomed to these things because of the way they were so conveniently there. That, not knowing the difference as a kid, I claimed to be the original way of thing's.
I just think it's funny that my mom, and I don't want to single her cause she's not the only one I've seen, will sit at the computer and have two or three things rollin' and be set - like Solitaire and Limewire while playing music-
and then there's me trying to do too many thing's at once that thing's crash or freeze on me because it seem's to be my drive is faster than my net's.
